The University of Texas Medical Branch Austin Women's Hospital was one of 14 Texas hospitals recognized for exemplary achievement. Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said in a news release that Austin's Women's Hospital worked to establish paternity for 81 percent of the children born to unmarried parents in 2006. The average in Texas is 70 percent.
