Seniors to learn about minimizing distractions

For immediate release: May 30, 2007 GALVESTON, Texas - Senior Services at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is hosting a free presentation in Texas City and Galveston in June. Alison Lintner, human resources program administrator of the Regional Maternal and Child Health Program at UTMB, will present a topic titled, "Are you Leaking Energy?" Those who attend will learn how to eliminate or minimize the distractions that prevent people from focusing on what's important in life. The presentation is part of the Circle of Life lecture series for seniors and family members. The presentations are scheduled from noon to 1 p.m. For those who register, a box lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. There is no charge for lunch. Here is the schedule:   · Wednesday, June 13, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 722 Third Ave. North, in Texas City • Wednesday, June 20, at Temple B'Nai Israel, 3006 Ave. O, in Galveston.  To register, please contact Tia McCurdy at UTMB Senior Services, (409) 747-3360.
