Institute offers classes for seniors

Houston Chronicle (Internet / Print) 05/31/06 http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/3916411.html Galveston's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute will begin registering students today for summer classes. Class titles include Kabbalah: Jewish Mysticism and Aviation History and Heritage: Lone Star Flight Museum. The institute, operated by the University of Texas Medical Branch, offers college-level courses to seniors 55 or older regardless of previous education. There are no prerequisites for most classes, and no grades or tests are given. Tuition is $5 per event, $30 for the first eight events, or $75 for all events throughout the summer. Registration is 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Rosenberg Library, 2310 Sealy. For information, call 409-747-4657.
