The Alumni Field House now has two contracted, licensed massage therapists: Jeremy Gustin and Lynn McBride. Both offer a broad range of massage techniques, from Swedish, to sport, to hot stone massage.

Gustin, who graduated in 2002 from the Blue Cliff College of Massage in Lafayette, La., specializes in therapeutic massage, myofascial release therapy, prenatal massage, warm stone massage and Thai massage. McBride, who graduated in 1999 from the Massage Therapy Clinic and School in Webster, specializes in trigger point therapy, sport massage, deep tissue massage and warm stone massage.

Gerald Cleveland, director of health promotions at UTMB, said, "The benefits of massage are well documented for men and women of all ages and offers relief from sore and tired muscles. Additionally, massage can play an integral role in managing the stressor of a hectic work and home life. If you have never tried a real therapeutic massage you owe it to yourself to give it a try, you just might get hooked."

Gustin is available for appointments from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and McBride is available for appointments from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday-Friday. They split Saturdays between them. To schedule an appointment, call Gustin at 409-771-7045 or call McBride at 409-599-3848. For more information, call the Alumni Field House at 409-772-1304.
