Inside UTMB: Breast cancer is topic of UTMB lecture

News in this week’s Inside UTMB includes a free brown bag lecture about advances in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment; UTMB Department of Radiation Oncology has reopened its campus facility and is providing daily treatment to about 40 patients; Alexander Vo has been appointed as one of five members of the American Telemedicine Association Institutional Council Leadership Executive Committee; the UTMB Cruisin’ for a Cure team has a goal of fielding 150 runners in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure; Dr. Gerald Campbell has been appointed inaugural holder of the L. Clarke Stout Jr. and Elaine F. Stout Professorship in Surgical Pathology; UTMB students learn how health professionals can play a key role in combating human trafficking; Morrison Food Service reports the campus taco truck has suspended operations; and the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs in the GSBS is hosting its first Orientation for New Postdoctoral Scientists.
