Many young women may misjudge their weight

Reuters, November 23, 2010

Continuing to receive widespread coverage is the study by UTMB Health Drs. Mahbubur Rahman and  Abbey Berenson that appeared in Obstetrics and Gynecology, showing that almost one-quarter of young women who are overweight actually perceive themselves as being normal weight, while a sizable minority (16 percent) of women at normal body weight actually fret that they’re too fat. The study also appeared on FoxNews.com, AOl HealthKNBC (Los Angeles), KPNX (Phoenix), KPSP (CA), World News Network, MedicineNet.com, LabSpaces.net, Bio-Medicine, QualityHealth.com, Brightsurf Science News.
