UTMB institute gets new leader

Houston Chronicle (Internet / Print) 12/27/05 http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/metropolitan/3551199.html Dr. Howard Brody is leaving Michigan State University to become director of the University of Texas Medical Branch's Institute for the Medical Humanities. Brody, a professor of family practice, philosophy and ethics, and humanities in the life sciences, takes over in Galveston in May, according to the university. UTMB opened the medical humanities institute in 1973 to combine humanities teaching and research with the education of future scientists and health care professionals.
