Dr. Roberts received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Houston, College of Pharmacy, and her MBA from UT Tyler. After graduating from pharmacy school, she completed a pharmacy practice residency with UTMB Correctional Managed Care
and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She also has Lean Six Sigma green belt certification. Dr. Roberts has more than 18 years of correctional pharmacy experience in two large state prison systems. Prior to her present position as
Director of Pharmacy, she worked in various leadership roles including Pharmacy Supervisor and Assistant Director. She worked for three years as a clinical pharmacy consultant to the California Prison Receivership and the California Department of
Corrections and Rehabilitation.
