Ojo is an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine and the Chief Medical Officer / Chief Physician Executive for the TDCJ Hospital in Galveston, TX. He received his Doctorate of Medicine Degree (MD) from the College
of Medicine University of Lagos Nigeria; Postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford Kent, England, and Internal Medicine Residency at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Dr.
Ojo is very enthusiastic about education and teaching. His passion is in the practice of Evidenced Based Medicine, Inpatient Medicine and teaching rounds as well as bedside physical examinations. Dr. Ojo has been nominated several times for the Department
of Medicine Excellence in teaching award. In 2005, he received the Inaugural John P. McGovern Award from the UTMB McGovern Academy of Oslerian Medicine, for modeling the ideals of compassionate, scientifically sound, patient-driven care exemplified
by Sir William Osler. Dr. Ojo currently serves on many Educational Committees. He is Board Certified in Hospital Medicine and Internal Medicine.
