Richard Doan, MBADirector of Contracts & Supply

DoanRichard Doan received his baccalaureate degree from Texas A&M University at College Station in 1991, and his MBA in health care administration from Our Lady of the Lake University at Houston in 2001. Doan is currently completing his CPA certification with Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. He is a member of American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), Institute of Internal Auditors, Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) and American Hospital Association.

Doan joined UTMB Correctional Managed Care in October 2001. As the director of contracts, he provides management with direction, negotiation, and oversight of the planning of contracts with vendors, agencies, and governmental entities for the provision of correctional health care services. He also develops and maintains the hospital network for UTMB CMC consisting of 150 plus hospitals and medical clinics in the State of Texas to assist UTMB CMC in providing health care services to the TDCJ inmate population.

Prior to joining UTMB CMC Doan was with TLC, The Laser Eye Center Inc, where he managed 9 ophthalmology surgery clinics in Texas and Oklahoma. Previous to TLC, he worked at Moody Foundation and World Marketing Alliances Inc.
