Mission Statement

The mission of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department in partnership with UTMB Correctional Managed Care is to provide comprehensive health care services by qualified personnel designed to: protect and promote the physical well-being of youth, identify youth in need of short-term and long-term medical, mental health, and dental treatment, contribute to rehabilitation of youth through appropriate diagnosis, treatment, and health education, and provide for continuity of care and high quality, cost efficient health care.
