The mission of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department, in partnership with UTMB Correctional Managed Care, is to provide complete health care services through trained professionals. These services are designed to protect and improve the physical health of youth, identify those who need short-term or long-term medical, mental health, and dental care, and support their rehabilitation through proper diagnosis, treatment, and health education. The program also ensures ongoing care and delivers high-quality, cost-effective health services.
