Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

UTMB Health is offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The Johnson & Johnson vaccination has been shown to be effective in reducing hospitalization and severe illness from COVID-19. You may schedule and receive a second dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine no earlier than two months after your first dose. APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED. All UTMB locations offering the Johnson & Johnson vaccine are listed below. This vaccine is only approved for those 18 years and older. If you have questions, please email c19vacsch@utmb.edu.

Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Scheduling

Before you pick a time: 

  • Please ensure we have accurate email and cell phone contact information, so that we may reach you in a timely manner if necessary.
  • Masking is required in all UTMB primary care and urgent care locations.
  • If you are currently participating in or have participated in a COVID vaccine study, please contact your study coordinator before scheduling.

The Johnson and Johnson single-dose vaccine is currently ONLY approved for ages 18 and up; children and young teens cannot be vaccinated with it per FDA regulations and will be cancelled or turned away. Other COVID vaccine options exist for those 5 years and older.
