Waitlist Vaccine Scheduling

Two-Dose Vaccine SchedulingPFIZER-BIONTECH / MODERNA

Before you pick a time:

  • If you are currently participating in or have participated in a COVID vaccine study, please do not schedule and contact your study coordinator.
  • Our vaccination scheduling is based on an anticipated supply from the state. If our allotment is different from expected, we may need to contact you to reschedule.
  • Please ensure we have accurate email and cell phone contact information, so that we may reach you in a timely manner if necessary.
  • Masking is required in all UTMB primary care and urgent care locations where sick patients may be presenting for treatment or testing of COVID symptoms.
  • This two-dose vaccine requires two separate injections given three to four weeks apart. Your second injection will be automatically scheduled at the same location as the first injection in three or four weeks. When scheduling your first vaccine dose, please make sure you will be available for the second dose in three to four weeks. If not, please wait to schedule.
  • If you are interested in the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine (the single-dose vaccine option), supplies remain limited. Please email C19 Vaccine Scheduling at  C19Vacsch@utmb.edu and indicate your preference, so we can work to accommodate your request. Johnson & Johnson appointments are subject to vaccine availability; locations may vary.

At this time, COVID-19 vaccines have only been approved for ages 12 and up; we are not able to offer a vaccine to anyone under 12 per FDA regulations. A parent or legal guardian must be present for any minor (age 12-17) receiving a COVID vaccine.

If no appointments are displaying, please check back at a later time.

  • The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines each involve two shots, normally administered 21 or 28 days apart, respectively. Both shots in the series are necessary and must be from the same manufacturer. The second shot is typically scheduled after the first shot has been given, at the clinic.

Please contact the UTMB Access Center at (832) 632-6731 to discuss your appointment needs.

Need to Reschedule an Existing Vaccine Appointment with UTMB? If your appointment was made with UTMB, send an email to C19vacsch@utmb.edu. Include your name and date of birth, along with the date of your original vaccination appointment and whether this is your first or second vaccination. We will work to accommodate your request as our vaccine supply and appointment slots allow.
