As a reminder, the Texas Medical Board (TMB) requires physicians to complete 48 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) every 12 to 24 months depending on your licensure cycle.
Licenses that end in an even number expire in years that end in an even numbered year and licenses that end in an odd number expire in odd numbered years. If this is your first time getting licensed in Texas, you will be assigned an initial licensure period of either 12 or 24 months. Read more information on physician registration and/or renewal.
To complete your required TMB CME, the AMA Education Hub is a free resource to physicians.
If you have any questions about the required TMB CME, please contact registrations@tmb.state.tx.us.
