Starting January 27, 2026, UTMB will begin Phase 1 of a two-phase rollout of Spanish-language support in MyChart, expanding access for our Spanish-speaking patients. This phase includes key patient-facing content such as the MyChart website experience, After Visit Summaries (AVS), and select patient notifications and messages, which will display based on the patient’s documented Preferred Language in Demographics. This enhancement supports clearer communication, reduces reliance on manual translation, and helps minimize potential translation errors.
Phase 2 will expand additional MyChart components (e.g., appointment types, SmartText/SmartLinks, questionnaires) through June 2026.
