Rheumatology Consults Now Available for LCC Inpatients

The Division of Rheumatology is excited to expand its consultation service to the mainland, with service to hospital patients at the League City Campus (LCC).

Effective Jan. 1, the division offers inpatient consultations at LCC for the following conditions:

  • Concern for vasculitis (GPA, MPA, EGPA)
  • Concern for GCA
  • Gout or pseudogout flare
  • Rheumatoid arthritis flare
  • Psoriatic arthritis flare
  • Lupus flare
  • Myositis (weakness, and/or elevated CK, and/or myoglobinuria, and /or classic dermatomyositis rash especially with concern for lung involvement)
  • Severe Raynaud's (especially with limb ischemia/ gangrene)
  • Sarcoidosis new/flare
  • ILD flare, if related to underlying rheumatologic condition
  • Joint swelling if not related to underlying hardware (replaced joint or joint with hardware)

Service to Emergency Department patients is limited to those being admitted.

In addition, the division has recently welcomed Ankitha Lingamaneni, MD, MBA to see patients at the Clear Lake Campus.
