UTMB is offering physicals Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon on July 20 at the Specialty Care Center at Victory Lakes, 2240 Gulf Freeway, League City. The cost is $25 and students should wear t-shirts and shorts. Bring school-specific forms as well as a signed UTMB consent form that can be found at utmbhealth.com. New vice provost
David O. Anderson has been appointed the new vice provost for administration, effective Sept. 1. He currently serves as executive director of the department of surgery at Duke University. He will develop and monitor the progress of efforts to facilitate excellence in patient care, education and research for the four schools and help oversee administrative support functions. Anderson earned both his Master of Health Administration and MBA (with an emphasis in finance) from the University of Missouri.

Effective immediately, the UTMB Health Gastroenterology/Endoscopy Clinic in Friendswood has relocated to the Specialty Care Center at Victory Lakes, 2240 Gulf Freeway, League City. OLLI summer oncology lecture series
UTMB experts in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment and survivorship will share the latest in evidence-based medical knowledge. The series, from 10 a.m. to noon on four Wednesdays this month, kicks off tomorrow with “Breast cancer screening and risk reduction: Know your risk” presented by Drs. Techksell McKnight Washington and Angelica Robinson. Next week, Drs. Colleen Silva and Karen Powers will present on breast surgery and reconstruction.
