A small portion of the outdoor track near the Alumni Field House will be closed through the end of December to accommodate upgrades to the soccer field area.
Upgrades include:
- Installation of an irrigation system for the soccer field area
- Replacing the sod and seeding of the area with new grass
- Installation of a barrier fence around the area to allow the grass to mature
- The area around and inside the fence will be unavailable for activity including soccer, softball, etc. from Sept. 23, 2013 until March 31, 2014
In order for construction trucks and equipment to have access to the area, a small portion of the outdoor track will be closed temporarily from Sept. 23, 2013 through the end of December, 2013. The remaining portion of the track will be open for use.
