Galveston Chamber of Commerce ambassadors joined UTMB Health dignitaries and Optical Center staff for a ribbon cutting and reception to celebrate the complete remodeling of the Optical Center, which features more than 800 designer eyeglass frames at affordable prices.

Optometrist Dr. Praveena Gupta, said, "Our patients will enjoy our fresh look, new dispensary tables and lighted display cases featuring hundreds of designer eyeglass frames."

Gupta, a board-certified optometrist, licensed optometric glaucoma specialist and experienced researcher, specializes in fitting both soft and hard contact lenses and is also a faculty member of the UTMB Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.
