An extensive peer review has identified 75 doctors from UTMB as Best Doctors in America.

The annual peer-to-peer survey identifies specialists who are considered by fellow physicians to be the most skilled in their fields and most qualified for reviewing and treating complex medical conditions.

Best Doctors Inc. , founded in 1989, asked physicians, “If you or a loved one needed a doctor in your specialty, to whom would you refer them?" The results of the survey showed that UTMB physicians in various fields are considered among the best in the nation. 

“This recognition of our physicians is an affirmation of the breadth and outstanding quality of clinical care delivered here at UTMB,” said Dr. Garland D. Anderson, executive vice president and provost at UTMB.  “We are very proud to have so many of our physicians in so many specialties recognized in this manner.”
