The Department of Physical Therapy, UTMB School of Health Professions recognized and celebrated the entry of their second-year students into their first full-time clinical experiences with a Professionalism Ceremony.  The keynote speaker was Claire MacAdam, instructor of Neurology, ALS clinic coordinator, and research physical therapist at Baylor College of Medicine. Forty-eight Doctor of Physical Therapy students were pinned as a symbolic gesture of the transition from classroom learning to clinical experiential learning in which they can continue their professional develop in managing and providing care within the health care system.  To publicly acknowledge their new responsibilities and affirm their personal and professional pledge to clinical excellence and health care, the students recited the professional pledge along with the faculty during the ceremony.
