A portion of Postoffice Street at 8th Street is scheduled to be closed for three days, beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, to allow crews to set a crane in position to lift materials to the roof of Rebecca Sealy Hospital. The closure will end at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2.

Employee parking will be impacted. Access to the Rebecca Sealy Parking Garage No. 6 will be available from 6th Street only. Access from 8th Street will be closed. Access to the nearby R Parking Lot on Postoffice Street will be available from the alleyway only. 
 
Until  Nov. 4, University Blvd. (6th Street) north of the Plaza Garage will experience alternate lane closures to allow for the installation of underground steam piping under the street near Haborside Drive. There will be barricades and signs in place to allow for one lane of traffic in each direction at all times. The pedestrian crosswalk at Harborside will remain open at all times, and access into the parking lot of the dormitories along 6th Street will be open at all times.
