The UTMB School of Health Professions held its annual scholarship luncheon, awarding more than $287,000 in scholarships to 190 existing and incoming students.

SHP Dean Betty Protas presided over the event with several hundred students, donors, staff and faculty members in attendance. Dr. David L. Callender, UTMB president, addressed  the group and praised the attendees for their generosity and accomplishments. Students from all SHP departments—Clinical Laboratory Science, Respiratory Care, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant Studies and Rehabilitation Sciences—received awards.
