Ashley Sevier, pictured with Dr. Luca Cicalese, dedicates a rose in memory of her brother, Cole Adams, who gave the gift of life to three others through organ donation.
The UTMB Texas Transplant Center dedicated five roses to the Donate Life’s 2012 Rose Parade float, themed “…One More Day.” The float included a Dedication Garden, that offered donor families, transplant recipients and candidates, hospitals, transplant centers and organizations nationwide the opportunity to dedicate roses placed on the Donate Life float in the Rose Parade.
Each dedicated rose was placed in a vial that carried a unique, personal message of love, hope and remembrance, honoring donors, recipients and others touched by organ and tissue donation. Altogether, thousands of roses created a Dedication Garden that is a featured design element on the Donate Life float each year. Messages were also posted in the Dedication Garden section of the float website,

The 123rd Rose Parade presented by Honda themed “Just Imagine...” took place on Jan. 2 and was seen in more than 200 international territories and countries.
