Carlos R. Escobar, Associate Vice President for Business Operations and Facilities has agreed to assume responsibility for UTMB’s Supply Chain and Logistics functions, including Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Logistics (warehouse and supply operations), and Ancillary Services (Fleet, Mail, and Records Management Services).

This reorganization also calls for a new leadership position that will be responsible for overseeing all Supply Chain Activities.  A search committee will be created to assist in filling the position of Executive Director for Supply Chain.

Ken Hall, Senior Finance Manager, will continue in his role with the Accounts Payable Team, managing the process of paying external vendors for goods and services as well as reimbursing UTMB Health employees for travel and other business expenses.

These teams will work together over the next six months to realign processes and identify ways to deliver services in a more streamlined, customer-focused manner. Thank you, in advance, for supporting these members of our team as we work to build a more effective and efficient Business Operations and Facilities division.
