The UTMB New Voice Club for Laryngectomees is a support group for those who have had a total laryngectomy.

Breast Cancer Survivors sought for focus group

Women 55 to 79 who are breast cancer survivors are needed for a focus group seeking their opinions on exercise and video games.

Researchers are interested in learning survivors’ opinions on using video games for exercise, as well as some specific games.

It is not required that participants currently use video games for exercise in order to be in the study.

Driver safety course

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is offering the AARP Driver Safety Program. The 4-hour program will be offered from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 22 at OLLI, 4700 Broadway, Suite B101.

The class is $12 for AARP members and $14 for others, payable by cash or check.
