The purpose of the J-1 Exchange Visitor visa is to promote academic exchange of education, information, or training of mutual
benefit to the U.S. and the country of origin. The Office of International Affairs is authorized by the U.S. Department of State
to administer a J-1 Exchange Visitor Program for UTMB.

seeking visas status for UTMB and provided to prospective UTMB supervisor who will forward it to the Office of International Affairs
with the visa request.

J-1 and J-2 SEVIS Compliance Questionnaire - UTMB-sponsored J-1 visa holders should use this form to
notify the Office of International Affairs of changes of sponsoring department, site of activity, amount/source of financial support or a change of address. The form may also be used
to request a DS-2019 form for a spouse or child who will be seeking a J-2 visa or J-2 status.
