Introduction

Wimba Create: A Tool for Creating Learning Objects

Wimba Create is a product which can transform a Microsoft Word document into a set of navigable web pages.

The side bar menu, the navigation arrows, the consistent format and colors are automatically created for you from inside a Microsoft Word document, using Wimba Create. The pages that are generated can be viewed from most any internet browser. The web pages can be placed into a course management system (like Blackboard) or posted on a website.

This module is designed to introduce you to the product and let you practice.

OBJECTIVES

1. You will successfully install Wimba Create (WC) on your computer.
2. You will successfully complete the WC tutorial.
3. You will successfully create a learning object from a Word document of your own.
