Xeroderma pigmentosum

Xeroderma pigmentosum is an autosomal recessive disorder that results in a severe clinical and cellular sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) light. It is caused by decreased ability to repair DNA damage and leads to marked susceptibility to UV-induced squamous cell carcinoma, basal cell carcinoma, and melanoma.
