If you have a burning desire to access/submit anything via any of the eRA modules (eRA Commons, ASSIST, IAR, iEdison, etc.) between 7 am on Friday, April 17th, and 7 pm on Monday, April 20th, you will be out of luck.

That’s because all eRA modules and all informational websites (era.nih.gov, etc.) will be unavailable. Why, you ask? Well, it turns out that they are all being migrated to that great Amazon Web Services cloud in the sky.  Cloud

Any NIH grants that are due during this timeframe will be covered under NIH’s late application policy due to COVID-19, which allows all applications submitted late for due dates between March 9, 2020, and May 1, 2020, to be accepted through May 1, 2020.

If you choose to go ahead and submit at any time between April 17th and April 20th, your application will be put in a queue, and then eRA will process them after 7 pm on Monday night.

See the eRA Cloud Migration webpage for additional information. If you have any questions, please contact your PreAward Analyst.
