UTMB Health and Southwest Transplant Alliance are hosting an event on April 12, 2024, at 11:30 am in the lobby of Jennie Sealy Hospital near the Tree of Life display. This event is for National Donate Life Month, and we will honor and recognize past organ donors, living donors, and organ transplant recipients.

Dr. Jerry Mansfield, Ph.D., MS, RN, NEA-BC, Vice President and System Chief Nurse Executive, will open the event by discussing his organ donation experience. Brandon Williams with Galveston Urban Ministries will play a song he wrote while calling the names of past organ donors and transplant recipients present at the event.

Please feel free to wear blue and green on April 12 to promote the importance of organ donation. UTMB staff wearing blue and green are encouraged to participate in a group photo at 1:00 p.m. in front of the Plaza Fountain (adjacent to the parking garage near Jennie Sealy Hospital) on the Galveston Campus.
