Eligibility Requirements for Employees

  • Must be a W-2 employee of a business located within Galveston County
  • Qualified employer must enroll in UTMB Multi-Share Plan before employee may enroll
  • Employee must work a minimum average of 20 hours per work week
  • May not be covered by any group insurance plan
  • Employee may not currently eligible for, or covered, under any government-sponsored health benefits plan, such as Medicare, Medicaid, or Veterans Medical benefits
  • Employees earning less than $15.60 per hour may be eligible for premium assistance (if funding available)

Eligibility Requirements for Employers

  • Located within Galveston County
  • In business for at least one year prior to enrollment, and have not offered group health insurance during the last 12 months
  • Have between 2 and 50, W-2 employees
  • 50% of eligibility employees are required to participate
