"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance."
UTMB is committed to maintaining an environment that is safe and that supports equity in educational and professional pursuits. Sexual harassment, sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, and retaliation subvert the mission of UTMB. The Office of Title IX Compliance works to ensure all university members have a safe place free from discrimination in which to learn and serve. Any person (student, faculty or staff) who believes that discriminatory practices have been engaged in based upon gender may discuss their concerns and file informal or formal complaints of possible violations of Title IX with the UTMB Title IX Coordinator.
For gender discrimination, sexual harassment, relationship violence, or retaliation, contact the Title IX Coordinator 409-772-2112, or go to 2.118 Jamail Student Center, next to Old Red.
