Centennial Oral History Collection


Background

The Centennial Oral History Collection is a complement to the Centennial Oral History book authored by Chester R. Burns, M.D., Ph.D., Saving Lives, Training Caregivers, Making Discoveries. The Centennial Oral History Collection iscomprised of interviews conducted by Dr. Burns with 85 individuals recorded between 1985 and 1994. A topical outline of most of Dr. Burns’ interviews was typed and written materials were solicited from some of the interviewees. This printed information is deposited in the Centennial History Archives.

Research

Both the Archives and the Oral History Collection are housed in the Blocker Collections on the 4th floor of the Moody Medical Library and are available for research. Copies of the topical outlines and other related materials are available for a fee.
