Worldwide Experience. Customized Approach.

A history of leadership and integrity.

The International Biosafety Training Center (IBTC) at UTMB began with a federal grant in 2006. As pioneers in a new and exacting training field, we recognize the need for safe research using biohazardous materials, including bloodborne pathogens. We understand the vital role of biosafety training in the kind of work that positively impacts lives, but involves some risk to personnel and equipment.

The IBTC has become a recognized and respected international leader, serving hundreds of clients across the globe.

  • Training personnel for clients in 32 states across the U.S.
  • Currently providing training for clients in 45 different countries
  • Biosafety training courses based on best practices and industry standards for biocontainment and clinical lab environments worldwide
