Cecil H. and Ida M. Green Distinguished Chair in Neuroscience
Professor and Vice Chair for Strategic Planning and Operations, Department of Neurobiology
Director, PREPing for SUCCESS post-baccalaureate research training program

Research Interests: My research interests are grounded in the integration of bioengineering and advanced optical imaging with biomedical sciences for the study of injury and disease and for the development of noninvasive optical diagnostic approaches. My laboratory conducts research applying the techniques of nonlinear optical microscopy, confocal endomicroscopy, and widefield fluorescence imaging to address knowledge gaps and identify image-based markers of pathology in the areas of women's health, cancer (noninvasive diagnostics for epithelial cancer, glioblastoma optical metabolic imaging), neuro-infection disease (intravital microscopy of neuroinflammation in cerebral malaria).
