Celebrate 135 years of excellence at the University of Texas Medical Branch (utmb). This special anniversary reception will honor UTMB's rich history, recognize the people and milestones that have shaped our institution, and celebrate the bright future ahead. There is no additional cost to attend.

Hotel accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis while inventory lasts, so we encourage you to book early. VIEW HOTEL OPTIONS

Alumni from all schools celebrating a reunion year - those in the classes of 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, and 2021 are invited to participate in this year's Reunion Giving Challenges.

The Spirit of Philanthropy Award will recognize the reunion class contributing the highest total dollars during their reunion year, while the Reunion Cup will honor the class with the highest percentage participation of classmates who make a gift, no matter the size, during their reunion year. 

Both awards will be presented during the Back to the Island Reunion Reception & Dinner on Friday evening.

Gift must be made by 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, to count toward the challenges.

Registration fees DO NOT count toward either challenge. Alumni unable to attend are encouraged to participate and support their class through a gift.  

MAKE YOUR REUNION GIFT

Homecoming & Reunion Weekend offers something for all UTMB alumni — from university-wide programming and milestone reunion celebrations to school-specific experiences and opportunities to reconnect with classmates and explore campus.

ATTIRE: Island casual or better is recommended for daytime activities; business casual or cocktail attire is encourage for evening receptions and celebration events.

PARKING: Self and valet parking are available at the San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center on Friday for a fee. Complimentary parking will be available for all Saturday activities on the UTMB Galveston Campus. Additional parking and transportation details will be shared with registered attendees prior to the event.

Registered attendees will receive event updates, logistical information, and helpful reminders leading up to Homecoming weekend.
