Many across UTMB are engaged in global health work, through education, research, clinical care, and community partnerships. What is less widely known is that UTMB is also an institutional member of the Consortium of Universities for Global Health, a leading global network of universities and organizations committed to advancing global health.
This membership is maintained and coordinated through the Office of the Provost – Global Operations.
Institutional Value and Strategic Alignment
CUGH convenes leading universities and organizations worldwide to shape the future of global health through shared knowledge, educational resources, and collaborative networks.
Through this institutional membership, the Office of the Provost – Global Operations extends access across UTMB to:
- Curated global health educational resources
- Advanced tools and platforms to support teaching, training, and program development
- Leadership opportunities through committees and working groups
- A national and international network of global health institutions and experts
This membership strengthens UTMB’s ability to align with national best practices, enhance program quality, and expand institutional visibility in the global health space.
