About me: I am a mother of two children: a 20-year-old who is a junior in college and a 13-year-old in middle school. I have a new fur baby who brings so much joy to our family. We love to travel. I have been a nurse for 15 years and have enjoyed every day of it. I love the feeling of knowing that I am helping someone.

How long at UTMB: I have been with UTMB for 12 years. I started off as an LVN and then advanced to my BSN here at UTMB.

Best thing about my job: The best thing about my job is helping patients and knowing I am making a difference.

Most challenging thing about my job: The most challenging thing about my job is dealing with angry patients. I don’t like conflict.

My heroes: My hero is Dolly Parton. She is inspiring in many aspects!

My life outside of work: Outside of work I like to travel, read (study) and spend time with family.
