About me: I have been a nurse since 2004. I have always loved taking care of people and helping anyway I can. I started at Angleton Danbury hospital as a unit secretary in 2001 and stayed through nursing school and after until 2005. I then continued my learning at home health nursing for the next 10 years, visiting patients in our Brazoria County community.
Then I decided to make a big change in my career and start school nursing in 2014. I have worked with our pediatric patients since then when I made the move to the UTMB Pediatric clinic here in Angleton. I am now also in the Adult Primary Care with UTMB. So now I have the best of both worlds.
The best part of my job: Patient care, working one-on- one with patients. Also, my co-workers are some of the best I have ever worked with.
My favorite quote: “Live like there is no tomorrow, and don’t regret yesterday.”
My heroes: My heroes will always be my parents, they are and were the most honest, hard-working people who would give the shirt off of their backs to help people and never ask for anything in return.
My life in six words: Outgoing, family-first, constant, loving, caring, tough.
My life outside of work: My girls, my mom, and I all enjoy riding horses. We are barrel racing almost every weekend and riding every day. My husband and I raise goats and chickens for fun. I love the country life and the freedom that it brings.
