Kenny Hamilton

Kenny Hamilton, Chaplain I (on call—all locations)

Kenny Hamilton is an ordained minister within the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee). He was born in Northwest Indiana, less than an hour away from downtown Chicago. He completed a bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministries at Lee University, followed by a master's degree in biblical studies.

Before moving to League City, Kenny spent six years in the Black Forest region of Germany as a seminary chaplain at the European Theological Seminary. At the same time, he taught theology, bible and ministry courses. Toward the end of his time there he completed a second master’s degree in Marriage and Family Studies.

Kenny’s ministry in a multicultural environment taught him a lot about empathic listening as a meaningful way to connect with others. His conviction is to follow the example of God in the ways he identifies with his creation. Through challenging circumstances Kenny also developed a greater awareness of God within hardship. This led to a greater passion to help others become aware of God’s presence in every season of life.

Kenny has embraced life in Texas, enjoying the warm weather and great food. He will, however, remain true to his roots as an avid fan of the Chicago Bulls. He also enjoys playing almost any sport. Kenny’s wife, Valerie, and daughter, Autumn, would also highlight that he has a peculiar interest in paleontology.
