How do you describe your role to others?
The voice of the patient and their family. Providing hospitality not only to patients but to the staff as well.
Best part of your job?
Experiencing a good response from patients and/or family.
Most challenging part?
When I must sit at the table with a patient and/or their family and hold back my tears. Also, creating a response letter!
Who are your heroes and why?
Growing up, it was Wonder Woman because she displayed beauty and strength. Today, my hero is my faith because it keeps me grounded and gives me strength to face the challenges of my job and life in general. My faith also inspires me to be kind, compassionate and understanding toward others, especially those who are going through difficult times.
What do you do in your spare time?
Serve at my church, entertain my grandkids and I’m learning to find time for myself. Go dancing when I find the time to do so!
Tell us one fun fact about yourself.
I took a seven-day vacation for the first time in my numerous years of employment and floated for the first time in the azure waters of Montego Bay. It felt like heaven on earth!
