How long with UTMB?

I have been working here for 10 months now.

How do you describe your role to others?

I help guide patients if they need help communicating with a provider or need to speak with someone who understands hospital procedures. Also, I assist if the patient has non- medical problems or concerns.

Best part of your job?

The best part is being able to find a resolution to a patient’s concern.

Most challenging part?

When I can’t assist in situations beyond my control.

Who are your heroes and why? My mother is my hero. She was a nurse for over 40 years and won many awards for her exceptional dedication to patients. She was the epitome of Florence Nightingale. (She’s retired now).

What do you do in your spare time?

I’m a new mom and my daughter is 3 months old. I enjoy spending time with just her and taking pictures of her.

Tell us one fun fact about yourself.

I speak five languages — Twi, Fante, Ga, French and English. (Note: Linda is from Ghana, West Africa.)
