Title: Certified pediatric nurse practitioner of primary care, Lake Jackson and Angleton Pediatric CBC

What do you like most about your job?

I love providing care to the children in our community. I enjoy connecting with them and their families. I strive to make the kids feel comfortable and ease their fears of coming to the doctor, while still providing quality, patient-centered care.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

Leaving work at work. You get so connected and invested with the families you provide care for. So, it is hard to go home at the end of the day when something goes wrong and not let it affect time with your family as well.

Professional headshot of woman with long dark hairWho are your heroes?

My dad. He has always been my rock. Even though he has had a rough few years health wise, he has not let it stop him or even slow him down. He has handled it with such grace.

What do you do in your spare time?

I love being outdoors. Hunting, fishing, camping. Watching my kids play the sports they love.

What is the best advice you ever got?

Life is about managing expectations—especially your own.

What is your favorite quote?

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

— Jeremiah 29:11

What is your favorite color, book, movie, song (any or all).

  • Color: Green
  • Book: No specific book, but I love to read
  • Song: No specific song, but I enjoy Texas country

What three words best describe you?

Loyal, honest, hard-working

What is the coolest thing – or just a fun fact – about you?

Nothing really comes to mind. I was a labor and delivery nurse for 10 years prior to getting my master’s degree and becoming an NP. Other than that, I am your typical married mom of two.
