Nursing and mental health needs for death row and seg inmates.
What do you like most about your job?
I really like our night-shift staff; we work well as a team.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
Caring for those that sometimes do not want to be cared for.
What led you to a position in health care?
Mental Health and wellness are a huge passion of mine. The brain fascinates me.
Who are your heroes?
My community. On July 27, my house burned down, leaving us with nothing but the clothes on our backs. Our families and community members rallied together and within three days we had a place to stay, food in our bellies and clean clothes to wear.
Where do you see your career path taking you?
I am currently in college at Allegany College of Maryland for the LVN-RN transition program. I plan to continue my education and become an NP and continue working in mental health for UTMB Corrections.
What do you do in your spare time?
I love to spend time with my family.

Choose your battles, not everything deserves a war.
