How long have you worked at UTMB?
I have been with UT for 8 years but with UTMB specifically since 2020.
Why did you decide to go into anesthesiology?
I went into anesthesiology because I love critical care, and I wanted to devote all of my attention to one patient at a time.
What is the best part of your job?
The best part of my job are the patients I get to meet everyday and the wonderful colleagues I work with.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
The most challenging part for me is not seeing the outcome the patient may have wanted.
Most memorable moment on the job?
The most memorable moments for me are when patients tell me they feel comfortable and safe knowing I’m there.
One piece of advice or information you would like your patients to know:
If there’s one thing I’d like my patients to know it’s that I pray for them every morning, and for my Heavenly Father above to help me be the light and strength they need during this time of their lives. It’s my life’s devotion to keep them safe and comfortable, never leaving their side.
