This year, more than 1,900 faculty and staff reached a significant service milestone between Sept. 1, 2023, and Aug. 31, 2024.

Recognition of GEM Card Recipients
UTMB’s GEM program provides a quick and easy way to acknowledge others for their extraordinary service, caring and compassion. This year, more than 800 employees were repeatedly recognized for going the extra mile in their daily activities.
To be entered into UTMB's drawing for prizes, employees must have:
- Received three or more GEM cards between Jan. 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024
- Had their cards submitted for recognition by their supervisor
