November 12, 2024

Please describe your role.

As a 'Star Squad' medical assistant, I am one of the many ultimate health care superheroes. Helping serve as the glue that keeps the clinics running, I am the human bridge between patients and providers!

What is the best thing about your job?

Getting to float around to the different clinics.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

Having to adapt to the many different personalities of different clinics.

Who are your heroes?

Those who pushed and believed in me!

What is your favorite quote?

"Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it's faced." - James Baldwin

Describe your life in six words:

Growth, spontaneous, full, vibrant, blissful and beautiful

What are three words that describe you?

Adventurous, blunt and courageous

Tell us about your life outside of work.

Life outside of work is very relaxing, full of love and small trips.

If you were a professional wrestler or sports star, what would your “walk-in” song be?

"Here I Go" by Mystikal. This song has a high energy beat that's commanding the presence of those who are watching/ listening—the anticipation! The swagger and authenticity are everything from the culture of the great city of New Orleans.

What is the coolest thing (or a fun fact) about you?

I can sing.

What is a dream that you want to make come true one day?

I'd love to live outside of the United States.

What is a cause you’re passionate about?

Mental health awareness

What is a favorite memory from childhood?

Spending time with my grandparents.

What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on and why?

Jamaica is the best trip I have ever been on. Jamaica has some of the best food I've ever tasted, the people and the culture are something that I will forever brag about.

Describe an experience that has had a lasting impact on you.

The loss of two of my closest relatives.

What has been your most meaningful accomplishment so far?

Being a first-generation college graduate.

What would you like to be remembered for?

My sense of humor.

What is it that you can’t live without?

My asthma pump 🙂

Describe a funny or unique experience that you’ve had.

Being a part of the "Wild 'n Out" live show.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be and why?

I would like to visit Africa because it's such a rich and diverse continent with so much history and culture. I feel a deep connection to the idea of exploring my roots, learning more about different cultures and experiencing the beauty of the land.

If you could pick any superpower, what would it be?

If I could pick any superpower, I'd choose the ability to heal others. There's something incredibly powerful about being able to take away pain and restore people's health, both physically and emotionally. Working in health care has shown me how transformative healing can be, and having a superpower like that would allow me to make an even greater impact.

You’re planning a dinner party. Who are the three people you would invite?

The three people I would invite to my dinner party would be my grandmother, my brother and my mother. I would invite my grandmother and my brother because they are both no longer living, and I would love for them to be in the present to see all of the great things I have accomplished. I would invite my mother so that we could all sit and laugh and take lots of pictures, as we once did before, because we as a family celebrated everything—big or small.
