What is the best thing about your job?

The best thing about my job is meeting new people because I am very much a people person. I love that I always can help someone or lift their spirits if they are feeling down, whether it’s a patient, their family member or coworker.

What is your favorite quote?

One of my favorite quotes is, “Smile and the world smiles with you, cry and you cry alone.”

My life described in six words is, “Can’t complain, won’t change a thing.”

What are three words that describe you?

Three words that describe me would be, funny, kind and an overcomer.

Tell us about your life outside of work.

My life outside of work consists of going to church, hanging out with friends and family and baking to relax.

A favorite memory from my childhood was learning how to cook and bake with my grandpa.

What is the best trip you've ever been on?

The best trip I have ever been on was a cruise to Cozumel with my husband. It was an early surprise birthday gift for me and something we experienced for the first time together.  We enjoyed some very much-needed time away just the two of us.😊❤

How would you like to be remembered?

I would like to be remembered for my compassionate nature, forgiving and caring heart and my love for Jesus Christ and when I’m gone and someone thinks of me, I hope they have good memories but most I want them to say, “But that girl could cook!”

If you were planning a dinner, who would be the three people you would invite?

If I was planning a dinner and I could invite any three people, it would be my grandpa (who is no longer here because he was ripped from this earth), my only child and my granddaughter. It would be so great for my daughter to get to meet the man who I considered more like a father who helped raise me. It would be great for my grandpa to meet his first great-grandchild and his great-great-granddaughter. I would love for my grandpa to be able to taste my food. At the end of dinner he probably would say, ”Monikeee, the food was good but that’s because you learned from the best!” We all would probably laugh, and it would be a wonderful memory never to forget.
