Students, Post-docs, and Fellows – Join UTMB’s Team for the Incubate Galveston Hackathon
We need enthusiastic, creative, collaborative people from GSBS, SOM, SON, and SHP to help find solutions to problems in our community. Our team, sponsored by Blackstone LaunchPad, is especially interested in:
- Addressing social determinants of health to improve outcomes related to chronic illnesses, like diabetes
- Healthcare access and quality
- Education access and quality
- Neighborhoods and built environments
- Social and community context
- Economic stability
- Identifying ways to build a community of students engaged in innovation and entrepreneurship
- Venues for social interaction
- Professional networking opportunities
- Access to collaborators
- Information sharing
The event will take place virtually and in person at the Canon – 2121 Market Street, Galveston

At the event, a diverse network of hackers, mentors, and entrepreneurs will help you explore the problem, develop a solution, and move your idea forward.
Winning teams will receive cash prizes up to $4,000 and an opportunity to pitch their product, service, or process to Galveston’s City Council.
